Felted Shoulder Cap

Here is a little shoulder warmer I hope you like.

I used a bulky yarn-Lion Brand Landscapes #273-Spring Desert, & a N-10mm hook. The yarn is - 50% wool, 50% acrylic. So I tossed it into a mesh bag and into the washer with some soap and warm water for a bit of a felting. It shrank some but only about 10 -20%.
The pattern works from bottom to top. Bottom circumference is 65 inches after felting.

N-10mm hook
Gauge - 4dc x 2 rows = 2 inches - 5 cm
Size - One size fits most

Special instruction:
Xedc-Cross Stitch with Extended double Crochet - YO, insert into indicated stitch, draw Up loop (3 loops on hook) draw loop across the previous stitches, yo, draw through 1 loop on hook, (3 loops on hook) yo, draw through two loop, (2 loops on hook) yo, draw through remaining two loops.
BLO- Back loops only
FLO - Front loops only
Tog2- work two indicated stitches together

Pattern
Chain 109, Making sure not to twist the chain, join with slst in 1st ch. (108 ch)
1. Ch1, 1sc in top loop of each chain all the way around. Join with slst in ch1. (108 sc)
2. BLO, Ch3 (counts as 1st dc through out), 1dc in each sc, join with slst in top of Ch3. (1108dc)
3-4. Ch3 , 1dc in each of next 2 dc, 1Xedc in last dc of round 2. * Skip next dc of round 3, 1dc in each of next 3 dc. 1Xdc in skipped dc. Repeat from * around. (108 dc-27 Xedc)
5-9. Ch3, 1dc in each dc around, join with slst in top of Ch3. (1108 dc)
10. Ch3 , 1dc in each of next 2 dc, 1Xedc in last dc of round 2. * skip next dc of round 3, 1dc in each of next 3dc. 1Xdc in skipped dc. Repeat from * around, join with slst in ch3. (108 dc-27Xedc)
11. BLO, Ch1, 1sc in each dc around. join with slst in ch1. (108 sc)
12. BLO, Ch1, sctog2, *1sc in each of next 2 sc, sctog2. Repeat from * around. join with slst in ch1. (82 sc)
13. Ch1, sctog2, all the way around. Do Not Join, Turn (41 sc)
14. Ch3, 1 dc in next sc, dctog2, * 1dc in each of next 2 sc, dctog2. Repeat from * all the way around. Turn (32 dc)
15. Ch3, 1 dc in next sc, dctog2, * 1dc in each of next 2 sc, dctog2. Repeat from * all the way around. Turn (23 dc)
16. FLO, Ch 1, 1sc in each dc around. Turn (23 sc)
17. BLO, Ch 1, 1sc in each sc around. Do not fasten off. (23 sc)

Tie
Ch25, fasten off. Attach to opposite side of row 17. Ch25. fasten off. Weave in all ends.
